Contents and composition of humus acids of Orthic luvisol in selected farming systems
1995
Mucha, V. (University of Agriculture, Nitra (Slovak Republic))
The most effective way to increase the production potential of Orthic luvisol is to regulate the humification process through available sources of organic matter free of foreign substances within optimalized farming systems. In a field stationary trial in two farming systems cropped with winter wheat (1990-91), sugar beet (1992) and spring barley (1993) dynamics of contents and fractional composition of humous acids in humus of Orthic luvisol were studied. Average values of analysed parameters are presented in figures 2-5. Group and fractional composition of humous acids in the upper part of the profile of Orthic luvisol was over the experimental period significantly more favourable in the organic farming system (B)
