Kara, V. (Slovak Academy of Sciences, Nitra (Slovak Republic). Branch for the Biology of Woody Plants)
Large-scale adaptations in the farm landscape of the Upper Zitava river basin (Slovak Republic) were accompanied by losses in natural forest vegetation. Ecological stability fell and the erosion risk increased. In the paper, the dendrological structure of the dispersed vegetation on a cooperative in Slovakia is studied. The portion of native woody species in the dispersed vegetation was 77% and that of introduced species 23%, of which 97% was Robinia pseudoacacia. It is concluded that the portion of dispersed greenery should be increased from the present 5.34% to 7%. All types of communications and the embanked section of the Zitava river have potential for establishing dispersed greenery
