Meat quality of transgenic boar offspring

36 offspring of transgenic boar KURSOR 15 were tested for meat efficiency with 4 repetitions. Offspring had a low feed consumption per kg of weight gain and 52.82 percent of muscles per carcass. Offspring were noted for very good technological quality, i.e. pH=6.19 with 22.53 percent protein content. Meat was harmless from the consumer point of view. Content of heavy metals was lower than allowed by the nutrition standard. Utilization of offsprings by transgene boars is possible in breeding practice, but it will be very demanding on laboratory tests and selection
