1997
Holecova, M. | Degma, P. (Comenius Univ., Bratislava (Slovak Republic). Dept. of Zoology)
In 1979-1981 and 1992-1994 the structure of weevil communities occurring on four wild rosaceous woody plants (Crataegus monogyna, Pyrus communis, Prunus spinosa and Rosa spp.) was studied in the Little Carpathians and Podunajska nizina lowland (Slovakia). Altogether 97 species belonging to 34 genera were recorded. The stratocoenoses on hawthorns exhibited the highest species number (70 spp. of 22 genera) and alpha-diversity. The communities on black thorn consisted of 44 weevil species of 19 genera and exhibited the lowest alpha-diversity. On wild roses 41 species of 21 genera and on wild pear trees 37 species of 16 genera were recorded
