Power consumption analysis for grinding wheat

The paper deals with the effect of the distance adjustment of grinding rolls on their exploitation parameters. Based on the measurements performed in the working conditions of a high-capacity wheat roller, the influence of gradually decreased width of a grinding gap of individual grinding sections on a level of its occupancy as well as on theoretic and effective capacities of the grinding movement are analyzed. The paper also describes the determination of specific power consumption of individual grinding movements, included in the grinding process of a wheat roller, and presents the correlations between their balanced grinding gaps and exploatation parameters
