The investigations were aimed at obtaining a standard antigen that would be used in the diagnostics of the animal disease - sarcocystosis. Three antigens were isolated from the Sarcocystis ovifelis cysts. It was ascertained that antigen 1 (crude cyst antigen) had 24 protein fractions; whereas antigen 2 (cystozooites) had 10 protein fractions; and antigen 3 (cyst liquid) 13 protein fractions of approximate molecular weight 84-9 kDa. On the basis of SDS PAGE analysis of proteins of all three Sarcocystis ovifelis antigens, 7 common protein fractions were found; whereas the following number of specific protein fractions was found each antigen: antigen 1 - 4, antigen 2 - 1, antigen 3 - 3. The electrophoretic mobility of proteins in agarose gel of the three isolated antigens differed, too, ranging from the alpha 1 to the gamma 1 zone. All the three antigens are immunogenic. All the three antigens could be used in serological agglutination tests.
