In this work, we determined content of Zn, Cu, Cd and Pb in complete fodder mixtures (CFM) for bull calves and poultry. Samples were used from small producers in region of Kraljevo (Serbia, Yugoslavia). We analysed seven samples of complete fodder mixtures for chickens, five for hens, five for milch-cow and three for bull calves. Samples were prepared by digestion of wet method (with mixture of nitric-perchloric acid), while microelements were determined usinf atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS, Perkin Elmer 3300) with and without background correction. We found significant differences in results, depending on applied analytical method. Content of Zn was in range from 53.448 mg/kg to 118.852 mg/kg, Cu from 15.142 to 39.665 mg/kg, lead from 0.000 to 14.957 mg/kg, while presence of Cd wasn't established in any sample that we analysed
