Kinetic study of fibrous polymeric sorbents regarding improvement of soil moisture retention

Physicochemical kinetic study of fibrous polymeric sorbents in respects of the possibility for soil moisture retention improvement was conducted. Fibrous polymeric composition on the basis of residual non utilized wool fibers (wool shoddy) and super absorbing polymers (hydrolysed polyacrylnitrile and polyacrylamide) were tested. The kinetic equations, that describe the process of an evaporatred moisture from tested soil with sorbents have been found. The rate of water desorption have been calculated and it was established, that the used sorbents decrease the moisture desorption in the initial stage of process (until 7th day), but it has an effect on the total course of a soil moisture rendering.
