Effect of calving performance on some fertility and yield traits in Bulgarian Black and White cattle

The main goal of the study is to define the influence of calving ability and related systematic effects on some fertility and yield traits.Data on 781 records on type of calving, housing system, season and year of calving and cow's parity were used in the analysis.The increased rate of dystocian is significantly associated with an extension of the period tofirst insemination by 12.4 days and with a reduction of milk yield by 3 to 8% and butter fat by 8.2 to 9% respectively.
