Several regressions describing the relationshep between the content of potassium and phosphorus in the soil, defined by the two methods, and K-and P-uptake by plants have been tested. The method of 0.01M CaCl2 tested for pseudopodzolic cinnamonic forest soil as well as for alluvial meadow soil reflects the potassium and phosphorus nutrition of plants better than the acetate-lactate method used in our country dose. For exact assessment of potassium and phosphorus status and the corresponding fertilizer recommendations, a precise calibration of the 0.01M CaCl2 method is necessary in field experiments, carried out on more soil varieties.
