[Nutritive value of fermented colostrum]

A study was carried out to evaluate the analitical values of fermented colostrum and nutritive value for newborn dairy calves till 28 days of age. During the trials, dairy calves of control groups were fed on the diet of cows whole milk and calves of test groups were fed naturally or their diets were supplemented with 0.5 Streptococcus lactis fermented colostrum stored at room temperature. Analyses of composition gave percental means of acidity, pH, total solids, lactose, protein, ash and amino acids. Supplemental 0.5 of Streptococcus lactis didnot influence the analitical and nutritive value of fermented colostrum.
