Dynamics of cold resistance of apple seedlings during wintering

The article presents evaluation of cold resistance of apple seedlings from 28 crossing combinations according to woodcutting freezing in climatic chambers during different periods of wintering. Trials were carried out during the wintering periods of 1994/1995; 1996/1997; 1997/1998. It was established that apple seedlings resist -30...-40 deg C during different periods of wintering. By breeding it is possible to develop such apple forms that can maintain hardening properties during the whole wintering period.
