The relationships between the vegetation structure of seashore meadows and grass-dwelling arthropods were investigated in 18 monitoring plots (2 m x 26 m) in the Randu Meadows Reserve ("Randu plavas") in Latvia. Each monitoring plot contained 3 vegetation quadrats (2 m x 2 m). Arthropods were quantitatively collected by entomological net three times per season. Cover of vascular plants and mosses was assessed by a five-level percentage Braun-Blanquet scale. The vegetation coenocline indicated by the first axis of Detrended Correspondence Analysis (DCA) was interpreted as sea-inland ecological gradient. The investigation data have been analysed and are discussed.
