Results of model experiments, directed to the estimation of useful of different kind of media in microbiological testing of preserved beer performed by membrane filtration method, have been presented. Infected the low, known number of lactic acid bacteria, yeasts or coliform beer was filtred and membranes were placed into the agar media, nutrient pads or pads moistened with liquid media. Recovery of microorganisms and morphological characteristic of colonies have been noted to estimate the chosen media. The best results in detection of lactic acid bacteria have been obtained on agar media MRS, Raka-Ray, NBB-Am, and nutrient pad VLB-S7-S while for yeasts on YGC Agar and pads moistened YM, WLN liquid media. The highest coliforms recovery on ENDO medium (Millipore)
