The aim of the experiment was to assess the effect of plant cutting (leaf cutting, leaf and inflorescence cutting above the first set, inflorescence cutting above the first set of bulbils) on the crop productivity of two-year Egyptian onion. The plant cutting methods applied in the experiment had a significant influence on the quantity and quality of the Egyptian onion yield. The highest yield of the first bulbil-set and underground onions was obtained when the inflorescences were cut above the first set. Furthermore, this plant cutting method increased the weight and diameter of the bulbils
