Heterogeneous growth in mullet Mugil platanus: influence of the proteic levels in ration
1997
Ito, K. | Barbosa, J.M.
The meaning heterogeneous growth (Het-G) express the difference in the growth rate among conspecifics. This phenomenon is very important in animal science and it is little studed yet. The works about efficiency on diets usually refer only the gain of weight. This work tested the influence of two proteic levels in the ration about the heterogeneous growth in fingerlings of mullet Mugil platanus. The fishes were submeted to two treatments with crude protein levels (CP) in the ration: 20% CP and 40% CP. Was observed wich don't have influence in the levels of CP about the Het-G and the Het-G reduced during the experiment, and can be relacionated with the hight variability in the inicial weight of the animals and the small stocked of density
