The aim of this paper is to share some experiences and ideas on what we consider to be real short term opportunities that exists for the incorporation of genomic analysis in Eucalyptus genetics and breeding, and more importantly what are some of the challenges that we still face and can foresee today for implementing some more refined and potentially higher impact applications.
