For the study of soil pollution with fluorine and heavy metals within the Slatina aluminium plant, determinations were carried out for their content in soil, plant (straws) and wheat grain. The soil had a fine medium texture, a clay content higher than 40 percent; slight alkaline reaction; low humus content. The soil had a very high content of fluorine, which exceeds more than 10-20 times the content found at the control soil samples The content of heavy metals in soil, generally Cu, Pb, does not exceed the maximum allowable limits; Zn exceeds the MAL in some points and Cr exceeds 2-3 times the MAL for all the points. The fluorine content in plant ( wheat straws) exceeds the MAL for a few samples and in wheat grain it is lower than in plant. Plants had high lead values which exceed the MAL values (10 ppm). The heavy metals content in wheat grain is lower than in plant (straws).
