Jumlong Wannachote
Effect of various raw materials and various composts accelerator on vegetable soybean (Japanese vegetable soybean) was studied on 10 soil series from the central plain of Thailand. The experiment design was 6*10 factorial experiment with 3 replications in RCBD. The primary factors were control, chemical fertilizer, Hitech rice straw compost, EM rice straw compost, Hitech garbage compost and Hitech garbage compost + chemical fertilizer. The secondary factors were different soil series composed of Chainat, Kamphaengsaen, Mapbon, Manorom, Pakchong, Paktho, Ratchaburi, Rangsit, Takhli and Thamuang series. This research not only studies quality and quantity of vegetable soybean, soil chemical properties, soil physical properties, soil biological properties but also preliminary study on effect of compost leachate on plant production. The result indicated that: 1) The soil amended with Hitech garbage compost + chemical fertilizer had the greatest effect on pod yield, while Chainat soil series and Takhli soil series had the greatest effect on pod yields in 2nd experiment and 3rd experiment, respectively. 2) In the case of plant quality (seed protein), the different of nitrogen percentage in seeds were very small when were treated by various composts and various soils. 3) Some soil chemical properties, Hitech rice straw compost had the greatest effect on the content of soil organic matter. Moreover, both Hitech rice straw compost and EM rice straw compost had the greatest effect on the content of soil available phosphorus. 4) Some soil physical properties, both Hitech rice straw compost and Em rice straw compost reducted soil bulk density more than other treatments. 5) In the study of compost leachate application, all of compost leachate had greater effect on plant dry weight than control but similarity effect on nitrogen percentage in seeds.
