Performances of Sahiwal-Friesian were reported from 5,572 cows raised under small farm environments. These crossbred cows were distributed under the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) project throughout the country. The results showed that 60 percent of the farmers never had experience in raising cattle before. The total milk yield was ranged between 1,334 kg in the first lactation to 1,429 kg in the second lactation. There was trend indication that the short lactation period 193 days obtained in the first laction will be extended in later lactations. The average calving interval was around 1 year with 115 days of dry period. All cows had less than 2 times of artificial insemination to conceive. Analysis of variance showed that there were cows by province interaction (P.01) for milk yield and lactation length. However there was no difference (P.05) in number of service per conception in different provinces. Different companies also yielded cows will different milk yield (P.01). The problem of Sahiwal-Friesian cows was that they have sudden decrease of milk yield especially after 60 days of the first lactation. However, this type of crossbred tended to have better fertility than the local crossbred females. Future breed to be recommended is 75 percent Holstein-25 percent Sahiwal for they have longer lactation period and as much milk yield as those of the purebred Holstein with less management and feeding care.
