1996
Karadogan, T. (Suleyman Demirel Univ. Faculty of Agriculture, Isparta (Turkey). Div. of Field Crops)
This study was carried out in order to investigate the effect of method of application of fertilizer (band and broadcast) on yield and yield components and quality of potato in Erzurum in 1992-1993. The method of application of neither nitrogen nor phosphorus affected yield and yield components of potatoes, but total and big tuber yields were higher when nitrogen was broadcasted and phosphorus was banded. Phosphorus doses did not affect potato yield and yield components. Increasing N doses affected positively yield and yield components and protein content, negatively dry matter content, but only significant between the doses of 16 and 32 kg N/da.
