Nine new species of Gulella s.l. are described from the eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, i.e. Gulella garambae sp. nov. from the Garamba National Park; Gulella (Paucidentina) lievrouwi sp. nov. from Lakes Kivu, Edward, and Albert Hydrobiological Exploration (1952-1954); Gulella ectodentata sp. nov., Gulella ruwenzoriensis sp. nov., Gulella cupula sp. nov., Gulella virungae sp. nov. and Gulella selene sp. nov. from the Virunga National Park: Gulella (Silvigulella) turriformis sp. nov. and Gulella albinus sp. nov. from the Upemba National Park. All species are described as shells only. Some of the new species are very characteristic indeed while others represent seemingly ordinary combinations of characters.
