The investigation included 108 Holstein-Friesian dairy cows, daughters of 9 bulls. All lactation were considered. The direct effect of marker genotypes of AMY-1 locus to milk yield, milk fat content was analyzed in a one classification of variance (ANOVA).It was established two allelic variants at the bovine amylase - 1 locus. The genetic variant AMY1c predominate of the other. There was a significant association between genotype AMY-1 B/C and milk fat content, expressive of advantage of genotype AMY-1B/C as regards genotype AMY-1 C/C.However the contribution of the marker locus AMY-1 to the totalvariation of the production values was very small.
