Econometrical model for grain yield analysis on the basis of data from Estonian counties

This research article deals with the investigation of the influence of management factors on the yield of grain. Econometrical analysis of cross-section data and time series data has been used to estimate a yield function. The yield of grain is the dependent variable. The most essential independent variable is land grading point, the influence of which forms 39...64,9 per cent of the grain yield. By increasing the grading point one degree, the yield of grain increases 21,6 kg per hectare. Future research is required to make the model more acceptable, so that it would conform with the principles of theory of economics and take into account the influence of fertilizers
