The effect of phytase-enzyme in broiler nutrition
1999
Gippert, T. | Kis, I. | Gerendai, D. | Sherif, Kh. El | Hullar, I.
Using Ross breed broiler chickens, the authors reduced the total P-content from 0.7% to 0.55-0.5-0.4% in grower diet, with lower or without P supplementation. To improve the utilization of bound P, they administrated Novo CT Phytase-enzyme (produced by Novo-Nordisk, Denmark). The growth rate and feed conversion of chicken were examined. The apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and phosphorous utilization were analized in metabolic trials. At the end of the experiment, the Ca and P content of the chicken leg bones were determined.
