Clinoptilolite is one of the zeolite minerals, that has a high C.E.C (220 cmol/kg), high void volume (34 percent), contains exchangeable Na and K. Several researches have been done in order to find out how it affects plant growth and soils. The findings showed different effect on each crop and soil type. Zeolite (1.5 ton/ha) increased significantly upland rice yield on Ultisol (Red Yellow Podsolic). It tended to decrease upland rice on higher application rates. The application rates of this mineral (6 to 8 ton/ha) have increased the available of P, K, Ca and C.E.C on andosol, but it did not significantly affect soil pH. It increased N-absorbed on tea plant and tea yield on application rate at 4 ton/ha. Combination of zeolite and lime increased significantly soybean yield on Ultisol, however it tended to decrease its yield at higher application rates. Zeolite (25 percent) can substitute N, P, K fertilizers on sugar plant yield. It may conclude that the application of zeolite on agriculture has ability to increase the effectiveness of fertilizers at low or high application rates. CEC is important property of zeolite, thus it increased the availability of plant nutrients
