Swine edema disease

This paper reviews swine edema disease which is an acute disease of weaned pigs. The most visible characteristics of this disease is ataxia, incordination, recumbency and sudden death. Clinical disease could be prevented with antibiotics in infected herd mates with less advanced disease. The paper presents some examples of the USA commercial husbandry with a very low level of edeme disease.
