Development of Latvian agriculture in the 90-ties

The development of agricultural production in Latvia in 1990-ies is characterized and compared with that in 1940-ies and 1980-ies. Tables are presented showing the areas of sowings, total yields and productivity, the number of livestock and poultry, the production of meat, milk and eggs. The conclusion: for a successful development of agriculture in future and for the increase of the data included in the tables, the agricultural policy in Latvia must be improved.
