The aim of the presented research was to evaluate the effect of extracts obtained from a few selected plants growing in our soil and climatic conditions on pests. The results obtained cover the antifeedant activity of water and alcohol plant extracts towards the Pieris brassicae L. and Apanteles glomerata L., its endoparasite. The research were carried out under both laboratory and field conditions. The results showed that the strongest antifeedant action was observed for the water extract obtained from Sambucus nigra leaves as well as for the alcohol extracts from Hypericum perforatum herb and Sambucus nigra fruit. The extracts tested did not reduce the population of Apanteles glomeratus. Under field conditions, the butterflies did not lay eggs on the plants treated with water extracts obtained from them
