Soils of the "Karsiborska Kepa" island within the Swina reverse delta

The study was conducted on the Karsiborska Kepa island, formed as a result of the accumulation action of sea waves and river waters. Laboratory analysis showed that these soils are acid and even very acid below 50 cm, rich in organic matter and characterized by considerable salinity. The surface horizon of soils had a high content of potassium, magnesium and sodium in particular, whereas the content of available phosphorus is very low
