Preconditions for the nitrogen transformations in organogenic soils as related to water eutrophication
1998
Okruszko, H. (Institute for Land and Grassland Farming, Falenty (Poland))
Organogenic soils transformed by moorsh-forming process, occurring in these soils after their drainage, have been classified according to the organic matter content into three types. Different organic matter content is reflected in porosity and, consequently, in the air content in the soil. There is a relationship in organic soils between nitrification - a potential source of water eutrophication - and soil porosity.
