Plant remains nutried potential [Crop residues nutrient potential]

The paper is presenting longterm experimental results concentrated on postharvest (overhead) and root (ground) remains of 27 crops, nutrient contents (N, P, K, Mg), and total nutrient potential of foregoing crops that are for disposal of subsequent crops. It was ascertained that mineral compound contents in plant remains is heterogenous and changable in dependence mainly from biological features of the plant species as well as in dependence from remain mass yield of given crop, and in some rate also from agrotechnics level, particularly from fertilization. Differences in nutrient level are also between overhead and ground the same crop remains. From experimental data is resulting subsequent mean nutrient potential of plant remains: in case of nitrogen 19 - 298 kg N/ha, phosphorus 2 - 34 kg P/ha, potassium 6 - 288 kg K/ha, and magnesium 2-28 kg Mg/ha. Among nutrients entering the soil in the form of plant remains most significant are nitrogen and potassium. By mean nitrogen potential outstanding foregoing crop are all legumes, grasses, poppy rape and sunflower, their remains are leaving more than 100 kg N/ha in soil. By mean potassium potential outstanding foregoing crops are lupine, spring rape, sunflower and poppy after their harvest, in the form of their remains is in soil left more than 200 kg K/ha. For the purposes of nutrient potential quantification, in the crop remains studied were determined coefficients KN KP, KK and KMg that are introduced given nutrient amount in kg/ha per 1 t of remain product yields. Simple quantification model of postharvest and root remains of the crops studied was elaborated, by help of it is possible to balance potential of N, P, K and Mg based on known crop yield
