Mycotoxins are a group of toxic compounds, produced by certain strains of a number of species of fungi when they are grown under favourable conditions. In this article, importance of aflatoxins in human and animal health and applications of degradation processes of aflatoxins in foods and feeds were evaluated. The sensitivity of aflatoxins to physical or chemical treatments is affected by many factors including moisture content, location of the toxins in food, forms of the food and interactions of the toxins with food components
