Pesticide-safety agricultural village is a scheme of conventional farm and resident based on the non-toxic chemicals for sustainable agriculture. The village was first established in 1994 at Khaohinson subdistrict, district of Phanom Sarakham, Chachoengsao. There are twenty growers live in an area of one hundred and twenty rais, more than twenty-one pesticide compounds were used in water melon, fresh corn and yard long bean farms. Forty-five percents of grower's blood samples showed pesticide positive responses. At least eight organochlorine compounds polluted in cultivated soil and water. Some carbamate and organophosphate compounds deposited on leaves and fruits. Numerously of synthetic chemicals hazard to certain natural enemies and pollinators. Based on the restricted toxic-chemical use scheme, the method strongly improve soil and water management, as well as introduce bio-pesticide for keeping a natural balance. These strategies resulted in reducing fifty-two percent of the total pesticide utilization. Finally, population of most natural enemies and pollinators were also increased.
