1995
Waridtha Wannawilai
Nine cultivars of vegetable soybeans were grown in May 1992, December 1992 and April 1993 at Vegetable Research Center, Kasetsart University, Kamphaengsaen Campus, Nakornpathom. All cultivars showed the highest height and number of main stem nodes per plant when grown in May. Day to 50 percent flowering of AGS 190 was delayed when grown in May and April. The highest yield of KPS 292, ASB 02 and AGS 190 were obtained from plant grown in May, December and April (41.54, 37.91 and 48.53 g/plant) respectively. The highest soluble solids content (TSS) of vegetable soybeans were obtained when plant grown in December. Fukuiji contained the highest TSS (15.6 brix) while Kegon contained the lowest (13.6 brix). Total non-structural carbohydrate and protein content of vegetable soybeans were not affected by planting dates.
