Effects of herbicide in groundnut plots was conducted at Corn and Sorghum Research Center, Pakchong, Nakornrajchasima during July to November 1989. The experiment was designed in RCB with 4 replications. Two kinds of herbicide used, alachlor 3.125 and 4.375 litre per hectar and dimethazone 0.625 and 1.25 kg ai. per hectar were compared with hand weeding at 30 and 45 days after emergence. The results were, high rate of dimethazone could best control weed in groundnut as yield increased 34 percent over those land weeding. Low rate of dimethazone gave lower yield. Both rates of alachlor gave no different seed yield as compare to 2 treatments of hand weeding.
