Hundred samples of adult rumen flukes were randomly obtained from cattle at local abattoirs for taxonomical and morphological studies. The flukes with identical external morphology were grouped and each group was divided into three parts; part I: for external morphological study, part II: for histological study of internal characteristic structure and part III: for diagnosis by reference laboratory. Results revealed 9 species of rumen flukes in cattle namely: Gastrothylax crumenifer, Carmyerius spatiosus, Fischoederius elongatus, Orthocoelium streptocoelium, O. dicranocoelium, O. parvipapillatum, Paramphistomum epiclitum, P. ichikawai and Calicophoron calicophorum.
