Derevyanko, O.
Market transformation of Ukraine's economy is a process of changes in main characteristics of the economic system and its elements. This statement concerns both the economy as a whole and its sub-complexes. Systemic transformation of the food industry, in particular, is considered as a number of changes in the following fields: the structure of branch management; branch structure; the structure of the branch markets; the organizational structure of the branch's economic enterprises; structure of resources consumed by the branch; the production assortment structure. Reviving of the process of establishing SMEs is observed. Limited liabilities companies (Ltd.) and closed-type JSCs are considered as the most preferable organizational and legal forms of business for new SME in the food industry. For large enterprises open-type JSCs are recommended as of the first priority. The advisability in use of the vertical integration strategy in the food industry is widely recognized
