Biochemical traits of some [Yugoslav] NS maize hybrids

The major task of this work was to find out what influence might have different applications of NPK on chemical composition and yields of some Yugoslav NS maize hybrids. For this purpose a field trial was carried out using six hybrids such as: NS 475, NS 606, NS 640, NS 646, NS 663 and Balkan. The trial with monoculture and two year rotation included exhibiting at the same time six variations in application of fertilizers: control, NPK, manure + NPK, maize-stover + NPK, two year rotation + manure and two year rotation manure + NPK. Based on the year results the following can be concluded: On the average crude protein content was very much affected by the way of fertilizing.
