The results reported here illustrate that HCHO at used concentration does not change immunological activity of F-protein. However, since it is known that formalin is usually added in large excess to completely inactivate the virus because it could destroy important immunoproductive parts of the envelope-associated proteins, it is interesting to continue the work on the checking how formaline could affect the viral integrity and the structure and function of envelope-associated proteins. The same questions concern eventually detergents used as destroying agents.
