Microelementcontent of natural grass at different altitude of Middle Balkan area

Natural grass from 10 location from altitude from 295 m to 1540 m in the conditions of Middle Balkan was studied during the period from 1995-1998.It was found that cereal grass were with the highest share of the grass during the entire period and varied from 32.79% to 99.84%.Legumes participated weaker, and % share of other grass reached 49.96%.Content of microelement Ni in the grass reached 7.2 mg/kg, and of Pg - to 5.6 mg/kg.Concentrations of Co, Cd and Cr in some of biocenoses were above acceptable limits as over 0.4 mg/kg for Co, over 0.2 mg.kg for Cd, and for Cr the variation of the natural content was from 0.2 to 0.4 mg.kg depending on soil solution pH.It was stated that in cases of exceeding the acceptable norms it might be spoken about a background pollution of grass organisms, that varied according the soil conditions and botanical variety of mountain grass associations.
