The trial was established at Eerika on Loamy Podzoluvisol soil. The content of organic matter was 2.6-2.8 per cent and available P and K content was respectively 85 mg kg sup(-1) and 100 mg kg sup(-1), pHkcl 6.1. The seed mixture of ley was sown: red clover 12 kg ha sup(-1) and timothy 8 kg ha sup(-1). The next spring, were sown as background, P60 and K60. The plots for fertilizers were halved and on one side was sown N50, as the background. The fertilization with nitrogen fertilizer (N50) was repeated after harvesting the green crop, in the first test year and early in spring during the second year of the experiment. Against the background PK and NPK were used B1, Co1, Cu3,5, Se0,004, Zn3 and Mo1. The percentage of red clover in sward, against the PK background, was in the first year 71 per cent and in the second year 48 per cent. When were used microfertilizers it content of sward was according to year 62-77 per cent and 58-70 per cent. The nitrogen yield was on the PK background in two years 313 kg ha sup(-1) and on NPK background 605 kg ha sup(-1) (in DM yield)
