2000
Al-Husni, A.A. | Al-Kadi, A,S.
This research aimed to determine the optimal cropping pattern in rained area in balqa. A multistage sample was used for choosing the observations which amounts to (128) farmers. However, linear programming was used as a tool of analysis and six models were built according to the cropping system. The results of this search showed that the optimal cropping pattern in complementary irrigation area is realized by planting (stone fruits) as a main crop, and apple as a second priority; while the cropping pattern in rained area is determined by planting apple, onion, tobacco, olive, and okra. The research showed also a surplus of unused family labor and hired labor.
