The economic effects of information of the pest forecasting information system

This paper surveys the representative papers of economic analysis concerning pest management and explains the role of risk-reducing public information. By evaluating the pesticide reducing program using FLABS at Bihoro, present problems of FLABS are pointed out. This paper concluded that FLABS could be a more effective information system. First, the information about the effects of pesticides on environment and health is shown. Second, a more accurate method for forecasting information is presented to account for data such as humidity and temperature. Third, information about the relation between frequency of a pest's presence and the damage done is provided
