1) The investigation as carried out to survey infernos of the acid rain on the 16 forest soils planted with Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don), Japanese cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa Endl.), Japanese beech (Fagus crenata Blume), orks (Quercus serrata Thumb. and Q. variaviris Blume) and Japanese red pine (Pines densiflora Seabee. et Zucc.) in Osaka. As a result the pH values of he A layer ranged between 4 and 5. 2) We measured the pH value of the stemflow on the several kinds of trees at Mt. Myoken, Oct. 1991. As a result, the pH values of the stemflow on the Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) ranged between 3 and 4
