The article contains analysis of yields, botanical composition, contents of mineral nutrients in the yield of various perennial grass mixtures cultivated on sandy loam soils. Legume-grass mixtures produced a high yield in cutting and grazing treatments without fertilizers or with minimal rates of nitrogen fertilizers. Grasses can produce the same yield only fertilized with higher than 180 kg/ha nitrogen rates
