Stomatitis-pneumoenteritis complex, locally called as "Kata" in goats, is caused by peste-des-petits ruminants (PPR) virus, a morbilivirus. In the recent years, the disease has been reported in Punjab on the basis of clinical signs and necropsy findings. This communication reports the use of counter-immunoelectrophoresis to detect antibodies against PPR in goats.
