This review paper deals with Argemone mexicana and covers its beneficial as well as toxic effects. The plant details have been included and its uses included in Homeopathy are also described. The paper discusses dropsy which is caused due to adulteration of mustard oil with Argemone mexicana, and the tests for Argemone oil detection are also described. Various studies on this plant have been highlighted in this paper.
