This work was initiated with a view to identify and select promising late maturing Peach varieties for Malakand division. It was found that Indian blood (8-A peach) in peach varieties was the best regarding yield and quality of fruit. It matured 31 days later than 6-A peach when there was no peach in the market. This variety has very attractive red colour, firm structure, resistant to handling and transportation.
