Technological value of 6 fractions of select sugar-beet roots, related to their root masses (200; 200-600; 601-1,000; 1,001-1,400; 1,401-1,800 and 1,800 g) in the range of every combination of nitrogen fertilization (0, 60, 90, 120, 180 kg N/ha) is presented. The results show that technological value, expressed with content of pure sugar differed indeed in dependence from masses of single roots. Lowest value had small roots little, about mass below 200 g and large, above 1,800 g. however value of roots about mass in the range 201-1,800 g did not differ indeed in internal qualitative features. Greater, unprofitable influence on value of beet-raw material, has participation of small roots, below 200 and large, above 1,800 g, than nitrogen fertilization level
